The End of an Era - May 23, 2011
The last show of Monday Jazz at the Afterthought is Monday, May 23, 2011. The performances are ending after more than sixteen years, Monday Jazz's longest running jazz venue in Little Rock.Jazz on Monday nights has been a staple at the Afterthought since the late 1970's, and AJHF began scheduling performances there in the 1990's. The Afterthought management decided to start booking Monday night's exclusively starting in June 2011.
