The Arkansas Jazz Heritage Foundation currently presents the Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame every two years.
The 2010 Hall of Fame was on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2010, 8 P.M., and honored two exceptional Arkansans who have made outstanding contributions to jazz in Arkansas and around the world.
The 2010 Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame took place at the historic Afterthought, 2721 Kavanaugh, in Little Rock - phone (501) 663-1196. Tickets $20 in advance, $25 at the door; Students $15 advance, $20 door.
The following were honored with induction into the Arkansas Jazz
Hall of Fame, based on their outstanding contributions to jazz music and their
connection with Arkansas -
Jerry Atkins, a well known radio host and jazz afficianodo from Texarakana, Arkansas.

Candidate must be an Arkansas native or have established residence in Arkansas.
Candidates must have a history of significant accomplishments and/or contributions to the jazz arts. This may be within the State of Arkansas or on the national/international level. A candidate may be a musician, composer, educator, writer, or major contributor to the jazz field.
